Canberra, ACT ACT Fire and Rescue Services Roll Out
ADCO was appointed by the ACT Government to deliver the roll-out of new emergency services operations in the territory.
The $13 million Aranda project now offers four-bay and two-bay ambulance areas, accommodation, commander offices, direct transition areas, rest rooms, kitchen facilities and an outdoor BBQ area.
ADCO also constructed the $12 million, state-of-the-art Fire and Rescue Station for the ACT Emergency Services at South Tuggeranong.
The facility incorporates appliance and wash down bays, crew rest areas, an office and staff amenities. A rainwater harvesting system, in-slab heating and cooling, solar power supply and energy saving technology are features utilised to sustainably service the facility.
The station houses a crew of four fire fighters, with capacity to accommodate a second crew, as well as an urban fire and rescue pumper and two bushfire tankers.
