The scope of works for the $10 million base build project included the construction of a three-storey commercial office building, secure compound area, access roads, car park, new substation and retaining wall along the adjoining creek.

As well as maintaining a high quality of finish throughout the building, the build had to be of an extremely durable standard, including high impact and hard-wearing for security and emergency deployment, in order to adhere to the Australian Federal Police security requirements.

The relationship with the client Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) and superintendent Turner Townsend was strong throughout the project, with the team subsequently being awarded the Northern Walkway Extension project.
