Bendigo Health Day Rehabilitation Centre

The $46 million Bendigo Health Day Rehabilitation Centre (BHDRC) consolidates rehabilitation services into one new location that provides a holistic approach to deliver patient-centred care.
The works involved the demolition of the existing facilities and the redevelopment of the site, including tower buildings and the former hydrotherapy building in a new community green space at the heart of the hospital campus.

The redevelopment includes a new hydrotherapy pool and the bringing together of outpatient rehabilitation, allied health, dental, mental health, renal dialysis, breast screening and diabetes education services. This means patients recovering from accidents, injuries and medical conditions, such as a stroke or heart attack have access to a team of health professionals in one convenient place.

The project was delivered within a live operational hospital, with careful planning and management to minimise disruption.
