Narangba Works Depot

The project scope for the new Moreton Bay Regional Council (MBRC) Works Depot which is situated along Boundary Road in Narangba has enabled the amalgamation of three existing MBRC depots into the one facility.
The project included a new 3-level office building, warehouse, stores building, wash bay, refuelling station, car and vehicle parking and all associated infrastructure. External works included a signalised intersection and road widening and upgrade works to Boundary Road.
The site covers an area of 60,828m2 and GFA of 6,456m2 and is listed on the Environmental Management Register (EMR) due to its history of landfill use including sewage sludge, tannery and metal coating wastes. The extensive earthworks associated with this project included dynamic compaction of the existing fill and the import of circa 135,000m3 of imported material to level the site and allow the construction of the depot in clean fill areas.
