Pimpama Station

After a successful ECI period, ADCO was appointed as the successful contractor to design and construct the new train station at Pimpama. This project will see the construction of
a brand new train station on a brownfield site. Commencing in November 2022, construction involves civil and services works over a live rail line.

A key element of this project involves the management of bulk excavation in rock and the erection of retaining walls within the rail corridor, which is being undertaken adjacent to vital  infrastructure such as road bridges and public utility plants. Meticulous track alignment design and the implementation of comprehensive rail infrastructure monitoring plans have ensured the integrity and safety of ongoing rail operations throughout this complex project.

As the Principal Contractor of the project, ADCO manages the safe, reliable operation of the railway, including maintenance activities, as key considerations during the planning and construction phase. This involves maintaining operational continuity and minimising disruptions to existing rail services, thereby demonstrating a high level of proficiency and adherence to stringent industry standards.
