Whitten Oval Redevelopment
Footscray, VIC Whitten Oval Redevelopment
ADCO has completed the $62 million Western Bulldogs’ Stage 2 Redevelopment of the Whitten Oval. This remarkable project has transformed the Whitten Oval into an elite sports facility, now featuring:
a state of the art E.J. Whitten Stand with versatile function rooms; modern administration offices and a Community Foundation Hub; comprehensive change room and recovery facilities; cutting edge broadcasting lighting and new community spaces; upgraded entryways, a refreshed club shop, and an interactive museum; and top tier combined AFLW and AFL training facilities, including an indoor training field.
Working collaboratively with the client, consultants and our trade partners early on, ADCO assisted the Club in finalising the design development, developing staging, buildability and delivery strategies.
The early works involved the demolition of the existing E.J. Whitten Stand and upgrades to site services relocations.
We are proud to have delivered this project that supports both the Western Bulldogs and the wider community.
