ADCO begins first rail sector project in Victoria
ADCO has been awarded the contract to build the new multi-level commuter car park at Belgrave Station, in Melbourne’s outer eastern suburbs. The project is being delivered by VicTrack as part of the Victorian Government’s Car Parks for Commuters program. This project will involve the design and construction of a new, multi-level car park offering 640 car spaces over four levels, built on the site of the current at-grade car park. ADCO begins work on $132 million State Basketball Centre
ADCO is delighted to begin building the $132 million State Basketball Centre for Development Victoria. ADCO will deliver 12 new indoor courts to add to the existing six courts, new gymnastics facilities, refurbished clubhouse, referees’ spaces and administration for Knox Basketball Incorporated, an extended sports administration hub providing a permanent home for Basketball Victoria, Basketball Australia and other tenants, facilities to support two tenant professional team, and a basketball centre of excellence, forming the central hub of a state-wide, high performance program. Ashmore TAFE’s Trades Training Centre delivered
In March 2021, ADCO completed the new, state-of-the-art Trades Training Centre for TAFE Queensland’s Ashmore campus, Brisbane. This project was part of the significant revitalisation of the Ashmore campus over 2019-21 valued at a total of $31 million designed to simulate the working environment for construction and plumbing trade apprentices in the Gold Coast region. Our project manager Justin Allen once trained in the old facilities and Sarah Bowdler, who is one of our first female apprentices, will now complete her studies and training inside the new facility and boost her job preparedness upon graduation. Sod turn ceremony kicks off construction at Rabbitohs’ Heffron Centre
The first sod at Heffron Centre has been turned, marking the beginning of construction on the landmark community project in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs! The new facility will house the South Sydney Rabbitohs players, training facilities, administration, Souths Cares as well as a dedicated community gymnastics centre and indoor sports centre. Heffron Centre will be a welcome addition to the south-eastern suburbs community providing an opportunity for professional sports to mix with community sports. Neil Harding appointed Managing Director
ADCO is delighted to announce the appointment of Neil Harding to the Board of ADCO and to the position of Managing Director, effective 1 October. In this role, Neil will combine his current duties as Chief Executive Officer with the extensive responsibilities of a managing director.
Smoking ceremony at Arklife Cordelia marks beginning of construction
ADCO and our Client Arklife participated in a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony at our ARKLIFE Cordelia built-to-rent project in South Brisbane. ADCO to construct major Harvey Norman development in Brisbane’s south
ADCO is excited to be the preferred contractor for the new Harvey Norman Homemaker Centre at Macgregor, in Brisbane's south. We are looking forward to commencing construction on this retail project for a long-time client and when complete, shoppers will be able to make use of 24,000m2 of GLA for two major tenants, Harvey Norman and Domayne, nine speciality retailers, a café in addition to 546 parking spaces complementing the three-level development. We look forward to working with Harvey Norman once again on this flagship retail project, with works expected to commence on site later in 2021.
Health facility in East Pilbara topped out
ADCO was proud to top out our Newman Hospital development for WA Country Health Service in the East Pilbara region of WA. We welcomed guests from the WA Government, WA Country Health Service, BHP, Shire of East Pilbara, architects Silver Thomas Hanley, consultants, and trade partners to the Main Reception Area of the development where a 'Welcome to Country' was led by local Nyiyaparli elder Stanley Watson. ADCO is thrilled to have been selected as Builder of Choice for the $58 million Heffron Centre in Maroubra, in Sydney’s east. ADCO breaks ground on Lakelands Station project
We reached an exciting milestone on Sunday with ADCO welcoming WA Premier Mark McGowan to turn the first sod on METRONET’s Lakelands Station, celebrating commencement of construction. The Premier broke ground alongside the transport and local ministers and ADCO’s WA State Manager, James Prattent. This vital rail project will see the design and construction of the new station, including an entry building with a pedestrian overpass connecting the train platforms, bus interchange, 400-bay car park and associated infrastructure.
