Smoking ceremony at Arklife Cordelia marks beginning of construction
ADCO and our Client Arklife participated in a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony at our ARKLIFE Cordelia built-to-rent project in South Brisbane. The smoking ceremony was led by Tommy, a proud Turrbul Yuggera man with ties to other South East Queensland nations. ADCO to construct major Harvey Norman development in Brisbane’s south
ADCO is excited to be the preferred contractor for the new Harvey Norman Homemaker Centre at Macgregor, in Brisbane's south. We are looking forward to commencing construction on this retail project for a long-time client and when complete, shoppers will be able to make use of 24,000m2 of GLA for two major tenants, Harvey Norman and Domayne, nine speciality retailers, a café in addition to 546 parking spaces complementing the three-level development. We look forward to working with Harvey Norman once again on this flagship retail project, with works expected to commence on site later in 2021.
Health facility in East Pilbara topped out
ADCO was proud to top out our Newman Hospital development for WA Country Health Service in the East Pilbara region of WA. We welcomed guests from the WA Government, WA Country Health Service, BHP, Shire of East Pilbara, architects Silver Thomas Hanley, consultants, and trade partners to the Main Reception Area of the development where a 'Welcome to Country' was led by local Nyiyaparli elder Stanley Watson. ADCO to build $58m Heffron Centre for Randwick Council and Rabbitohs
ADCO is thrilled to have been selected as Builder of Choice for the $58 million Heffron Centre in Maroubra, in Sydney’s east. An important community sporting development for Randwick City Council, Heffron Centre will include an indoor multi-purpose facility with two indoor sports halls to accommodate sports such as netball, basketball, badminton, volleyball and indoor futsal, and dedicated gymnastics facility with high quality amenities, changerooms and dedicated bathrooms, office administration and parent / participant viewing. ADCO breaks ground on Lakelands Station project
We reached an exciting milestone on Sunday with ADCO welcoming WA Premier Mark McGowan to turn the first sod on METRONET’s Lakelands Station, celebrating commencement of construction. The Premier broke ground alongside the transport and local ministers and ADCO’s WA State Manager, James Prattent. This vital rail project will see the design and construction of the new station, including an entry building with a pedestrian overpass connecting the train platforms, bus interchange, 400-bay car park and associated infrastructure. Concord Oval redevelopment topped out
ADCO is delighted to have recently hit a major milestone in our redevelopment of Concord Oval for City of Canada Bay in Sydney’s inner west, topping out the structure with the highest concrete pour of the precinct now complete. This $75 million project is funded by the NSW Government, the Australian Government and the City of Canada Bay, in association with the Wests Tigers Rugby League Football Pty Ltd. ADCO begins Stage 2 of secondary college south of Perth
After successfully delivering Stage 1 in 2019, ADCO is proud to have been awarded Ridge View Secondary College’s Stage 2 works, in Baldivis, 45 km south of Perth. Already very popular for families in Baldivis, the new facilities will enhance learning opportunities for students, offering a performing arts centre, music rooms, a dance studio, a visual arts area and state-of-the-art media classrooms. Work completed on Caritas Christi aged care service in Melbourne’s east
We are excited to have reached Practical Completion at Caritas Christi, our aged care project for St Vincent's Health Australia in Melbourne. ADCO was awarded the design and construct contract in 2019 to redevelop the existing Caritas Christi Hospice in Kew, creating the Caritas Christi Hospice and St Vincent’s Care Services. Redevelopment included demolition of the existing hospital and subsequent construction of a new 26-bed palliative care hospice and 122-room/135-bed residential aged care facility, with several shared use and back-of-house areas such as car parking, kitchen and loading facilities. Smoking ceremony marks start of northern QLD shopping centre job
ADCO is pleased to be builder of choice for the $20 million Gordonvale Shopping Centre project, located in the Cairns region. On Wednesday, a Smoking Ceremony marked the beginning of construction on the project. Attendees took part in a traditional cleansing ceremony performed by Traditional Owners on Yidinji Country. Barachias Royee, son of Yidinji Aboriginal elder Uncle Frank, led the ceremony and delivered a 'Welcome to Country', and Gary ’Creeky’ Creek played the didgeridoo.
