WA Team Wins Mates Leadership Award

Last week our WA team recognised R U OK? Day by attending the MATES in Construction WA Sundowner, which was an excellent celebration of mental health awareness within the construction industry. We were delighted to receive the 2020 ‘MATES Leadership Award’ (Large Organisation) on the day. HSE Manager Andrew Pachioli and Project Manager Niall Kehoe were also nominated for an individual award each for their leadership within industry. ADCO Selected to Build Darebin Multi-Sports Stadium

ADCO is delighted to commence building Darebin Multi-Sport Stadium (MSS) at John Cain Memorial Park in Melbourne’s inner suburbs. Designed by Brand Architects, Australia, the $22 million MSS in Thornbury will offer three indoor multi-purpose courts to accommodate a range of sports such as netball, basketball, badminton, volleyball and roller derby. The stadium will provide spectators 298 fixed seats and six universal access spaces. Other features at the facility will include player change rooms, administration, multi-purpose rooms and ancillary areas with a cafe, spectator facilities and a new car park area servicing the precinct. ADCO is proudly Builder of Choice for Hames Sharley’s new office space in Hay Street Mall, Central Perth. The two-storey refurbishment will make use of disused department store space, which has been vacant for 35 years, located above the existing Target store. ADCO Get Active and Raise $60,000 to Help Homeless Youth

ADCO congratulates all those who participated in the Property Industry Foundation’s 30-day Fitness Challenge for a resounding finish today! We were delighted to top the team fundraising leaderboard for such a fantastic cause alongside fierce competition. Raising a total of $58,907, 50 ADCO staff members tirelessly walked, ran and pedalled 12,495 km to build homes for homeless children through PIF, who we have gladly supported for many years. Congratulations in particular to Andrew Fullard, who topped the leaderboard after cycling 2440 km; Anthony Flynn for walking over 300km; and Blake Turner on his mighty effort running 321km. ADCO Selected to Build Batemans Bay Aquatic and Art Centre

ADCO is delighted to have been named head contractor for Batemans Bay’s Regional Aquatic, Arts and Leisure Centre on the South Coast of NSW, for Eurobodalla Shire Council. The new aquatic centre will replace the community’s existing pool at Mackay Park, providing an a 25-metre, eight-lane pool with ramp access, a warm-water therapy pool, an indoor leisure pool with learn-to-swim and toddler areas, water-play areas and waterslides, a gym, group fitness rooms, and amenities. ADCO is pleased to have picked up two regional Master Builders Queensland Gold Coast awards! In a livestream event ADCO was announced winner in the category ‘Education Facilities over $10 million’ for our Bond University Health Sciences and Medicine extension on campus in Robina. Sod Turn Marks Beginning of Waves Baulkham Hills Construction

ADCO and The Hills Shire Council celebrated the beginning of construction at our Waves Aquatic Centre site in Sydney’s north-west suburb of Baulkham Hills. Construction Commences on $35M Tafe Gippsland Development

ADCO is excited to have commenced construction on TAFE Gippsland’s $35.5 million redevelopment in the regional centre of Morwell, east of Melbourne. Stage 2 works will see the construction of Morwell Trade Skills Centre. When complete, the MTSC will be used to provide training in electrotechnology, new energy systems, instrumentation and plumbing trade training with specialist workshops, lab facilities and more general-purpose classrooms.
