$23M Costco Ipswich Launches to Large Crowds with Grand Opening

ADCO’s recent Costco build west of Brisbane is now open, after a VIP launch ceremony which saw doors open to hundreds of excited customers. Cars banked out onto Warrego Highway as shoppers witnessed a ribbon cutting ceremony with cake and a buffet, before scouting for bargains on specialty items and goods in bulk. The $23m, large retail project in Ipswich was our fourth Costco job in Australia, incorporating a large span warehouse with internal Costco fittings, a fuel service station and auto repair facility, 825 parking spaces and associated landscape works. ADCO Honours the Salvos Work During Red Shield Month

ADCO is a proud supporter of the Salvation Army, and during the month of May (which is Salvos month) we are dedicated to raising money and honouring the work of the Salvos. Our company and individual staff have donated money, attended fundraisers and taken on initiatives to further the organisation’s charity work. Yesterday, our Chairman, Judy Brinsmead and other ADCO staff attended the Gold Coast’s Red Shield Appeal breakfast. Bond University Unveils ADCO-Built Health Sciences & Medicine Building

In a grand launch ceremony on Monday, Bond University opened its Health Sciences & Medicine (HSM) building, completed by ADCO. The building offers world-class health research facilities, with state-of-the-art learning and teaching zones, and expanded space to accommodate new innovative health and medical research programs. The original Faculty of HSM was ADCO’s first-ever build for Bond back in 2004. Baldivis South Community Centre Reaches Completion

ADCO recently delivered a new community centre in Baldivis South, WA. The building incorporates a multi-purpose hall, activity rooms, consulting rooms, commercial kitchen and storage areas. The 650-sqm facility is a community venue able to contain several groups and activities at the same time for meetings, events, education, arts and cultural activities, playgroups and recreation. Works also included construction of a new playground area, car parking facilities, feature paving and landscaping. ADCO Recognised for Strong Community Engagement at Lane Cove Project Site

Last Friday, ADCO’s Rosenthal Project Team in Lane Cove, NSW hit an important milestone. The RAD team handed over a staged car park for community use, which will alleviate the reduced number of parking spaces during construction. Lane Cove Mayor Pam Palmer was the first to try out the car park, in a low-key ribbon cutting event. To date, ADCO has excavated five levels below ground, removed over 200,000 tonnes of material and installed almost 7500 cubic metres of concrete. Construction on Bowral Hospital Begins

Construction on Bowral Hospital began on Monday after Wollondilly MP Nathaniel Smith turned the first sod on ADCO’s latest project, marking the beginning of Stage 1. Built for NSW Health Infrastructure, the $65m, four storey hospital will provide medical, mental health, maternity, paediatric and perioperative care for the local community. Facilities include wards, operating theatres, emergency department, ambulance entry, car parking and improved pedestrian links across the site. The groundbreaking was MP Nathaniel Smith’s first official function since being made local member for Wollondilly. Construction is expected to start in the coming weeks and should be completed in late 2020.
