ADCO Begins Work at Osborne Park Hospital
Last week, construction started on Osborne Park Hospital’s $15m Rehabilitation and Neonatal Nursery project for the WA Government.
In an event attended by WA Minister for Health Roger Cook, Member for Balcatta David Michael and Member for Kingsley Jessica Stojkovski, the first sod was turned on site, symbolically marking the beginning of site work.
The project will see an update of Rehabilitation and Women’s and Newborn Services by extending and refurbishing existing facilities.
A new Maternity Assessment Unit (MAU) and nursery on Level 2A will complement refurbishments in the Women’s and Newborn Services wing.
Rehabilitation facilities will be improved by the addition of a state-of-the-art 16-bed rehabilitation ward, centralised therapy hub, therapy garden and associated refurbishment works. This unit will enable patients to interact with each another, which research shows enhances recovery outcomes.
