ADCO Completes Key Perth Transport Infrastructure
Successful delivery of the Public Transport Operation Control Centre for the Public Transport Authority of Western Australia was celebrated late last year.
Taking 2-years and 180,000+ work hours to complete, the project was awarded Master Builders Western Australia – Excellence in Workplace Health and Safety, reaffirming ADCO’s Safer by Choice motto. It was also a focus project for Curtin University’s Integrated Project 2 years in a row providing benefit to the next generation of People who Build.
A local Aboriginal artist donated the stunning artwork that was applied to the hoarding of the building, and we are proud to have exceeded commitments of our Reconciliation Action Plan achieving 4.2% of First Nations businesses engaged and 4.5% of total First Nations workforce hours.
The neighbouring childcare centre was also the beneficiary of our annual Community Day where our people donated time and resources to undertake landscaping improving the play for its little people. We also partnered with Aboriginal elders to undertake a storytelling session which the little ones loved.
The Operation Centre is a key component in the upgrade of the Perth Transport Network aimed to deliver improved train services for the region and we were delighted to be selected as the Builder of Choice.
