ADCO Delivers a Future-Ready Reid Library for UWA

ADCO is proud to celebrate the successful completion of the Reid Library Refurbishment for The University of Western Australia. Delivered in just 12 months, this project showcases our commitment to creating modern, inclusive, and functional spaces that enrich the university experience for all.

A full refurbishment of Level 1 was undertaken delivering:

·         Individual and collaborative student study spaces, and bookable group study rooms

·         A wellbeing zone and service area for student drop-in consultations

·         A new flexible, technology-enhanced seminar and event spaces for students, staff, alumni, and the broader community

·         Inclusive facilities such as sensory rooms for students with particular sensory needs and preferences, a parent’s room, and all-gender toilets

Our people also undertook significant plant room upgrades on Level 4 to support the building wide services enhancement along with refurbishment of the executive staff office on level 2.

Working on a services upgrade for an older building presented unique challenges, including managing asbestos works, ensuring fire rating and compliance upgrades, and navigating clashes between existing and new systems. Despite these hurdles, our people delivered a state-of-the-art facility that seamlessly integrates modern design with heritage elements.

Congratulations to our incredible #peoplewhobuild and trade partners for their expertise and dedication in bringing this vision to life. We are honoured to have contributed to such a transformative project for UWA.
