ADCO Wins Brisbane MBA Award
ADCO won a Master Builders Queensland award for the Brisbane region – we took out the category ‘Health Facilities over $20 million’ for building Prince Charles Hospital Extended Adolescent Treatment Facility, now known as ‘Jacaranda Place’.
Opened by Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk earlier this year, Jacaranda Place is the first of its kind in Australia. The $27 million facility was co-designed by consumers, carers and their families, offering a 12-bed residential unit, a 20-place day program and integrated vocational and training programs.
The facility incorporates 12 bedrooms with built-in joinery and ensuites, nine well-planted internal courtyards, health facilities, classrooms and training spaces — all designed to allow for ample light across the whole building. Each of these features have been meticulously configured and incorporated into the modern design to provide the best possible healing environment for residents on their journey to recovery.
Congratulations on a well-deserved win, team!
