Empowering Women in Construction: Women of ADCO Conference brings 150 inspiring women together.
We are delighted to share the incredible success of the recent Women of ADCO conference held at Kingscliff, which brought together nearly 150 inspiring women from across our organisation and our sister company, Tropical Fruit World.
For over a decade, Women of ADCO has been at the forefront of our commitment to attract, retain, and advance women in our business and the wider property and construction industries.
The biennial conference provides an opportunity for networking, professional development and strategic planning. The discussions initiated have been pivotal in encouraging membership and active involvement in industry associations, the introduction of a robust mentoring program and the implementation of numerous initiatives that have benefitted both men and women at ADCO.
Moreover, initiatives such as promoting the construction industry in schools and universities (including our Girls who Build program) and engaging with our local communities have not only showcased the diverse career opportunities within our field but have also inspired future generations of Women Who Build.
At ADCO, we recognise that diversity drives innovation and excellence. The Women of ADCO demonstrates our ongoing commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every individual can have the confidence and support to thrive and succeed contributing to our One Team Culture.
Thank you to our male National Leadership Team members who attended (Neil Harding, Tom Hill, Brad McCarthy, James Prattent), all the participants, keynote speaker Sonia McDonald, the venue Tropical Fruit World, and organisers for making this year’s conference a resounding success. Together, we are shaping a brighter and more inclusive future for women in construction.
