Engineering Milestone Reached at Pimpama Sports Hub
This week, ADCO reached an engineering milestone at Pimpama Sports Hub, with the first spliced truss spanning 37 metres erected.
Since beginning on site last year, we have erected the roof cover over the netball centre, and made huge strides on courts, carparking, intersection and roadworks.
The aquatic centre is also coming together well, with the main pool hall substructure complete — this allows for the erection of the roof structure. The 50-metre pool is also taking shape, including the aquatic hydraulic reticulation.
Due for completion in 2021, the sports precinct will offer an aquatic centre with multiple pools, netball and tennis courts, a multipurpose hall, café, health centre, community centre, function rooms and carparking.
Pimpama Sports Hub will be 100% energy self-sufficient, and is the largest community infrastructure project City of Gold Coast has taken on.
ADCO has been pleased to be working with client City of Gold Coast and project architect Liquid Blu.
