Melbourne Place Tops Out

Our Melbourne Place Hotel project on Russell Street in the Melbourne CBD celebrated a major milestone with the topping out of the concrete structure.

The traditional presentation of a tree was undertaken by our Senior Project Manager Darren McErlain, along with a feast for all our people, trade partners and client on site. A Eucalyptus tree was presented to recognise & acknowledge the cultural significance of the site.

The $70 million project consists of the demolition of the existing building and construction of a two-level basement and fourteen level luxury hotel. Included in the design is 183 guest rooms, 4 suites, 4 penthouses, 3 retail tenancies, ground and rooftop bar, restaurant space, multipurpose function and events area, gymnasium, hotel operating spaces, end of trip facilities, luggage storage, general storage, and housekeeping facilities.

We are excited to be the Builder of Choice for this project and look forward to seeing this boutique hotel added to Melbourne’s CBD.
