Design renders for Lakelands Station unveiled by WA Premier
WA Premier Mark McGowan unveiled the first design images of Lakelands Station, for which ADCO has been named builder.
Lakelands is Perth’s tenth METRONET project, located 7km north of Mandurah Station and 60km south of Perth, and will service the growing suburbs of Lakelands, Madora Bay, Meadow Springs and surrounds.
The design includes a pedestrian overpass, platforms on either side of the rail line, toilets, cycling facilities, bus interchange, approximately 400-bay car park, pedestrian and cyclist-friendly pathways, and landscaping featuring native species.
The design of the station draws on the local natural features like the wetlands, Serpentine River, Yalbanberup Pool and Paganoni Lake.
Construction work at Lakelands Station will commence in July and is anticipated to support 200 jobs during construction. It is expected to open in 2023.
