Sod Turn Marks Beginning of Construction of WA Sports Precinct
ADCO celebrated the sod turn of the new $13m Toodyay Sports and Recreation Precinct, 85km north-east of Perth.
Federal Member for Pearce Christian Porter led the ground breaking, which signified the beginning of construction and the culmination of over 40 years of project planning.
Due for completion in May 2020, ADCO’s WA team will build two swimming pools, multiple tennis and netball courts, soccer and rugby facilities with new floodlighting, changerooms and external landscaping.
ADCO will work with Project Managers Limnios & Johns and Architect Cameron Chisholm Nicol on the project.
ADCO WA State Manager James Prattent said that the final build will be worth the wait.
“The new recreation centre will be a quality addition to the community’s facilities once complete. Having seen how passionate the community is about the project, it’s an absolute privilege for ADCO to have been selected to deliver it,” he said.
