Richmond High School Opens to Students
Richmond High School’s second campus is now ready for the school year. Delivered by ADCO late last year, the vertical school was given an opening ceremony attended by over 100 students, teachers, principal Colin Simpson, Minister for Education James Merlino, and Member for Richmond Richard Wynne.
The school is set across four storeys and offers state-of-the-art learning spaces and sporting facilities, which will be shared with the local community. The project, designed by Hayball, was funded by a $3.8 billion state government investment into building and improving Victorian schools.
CEO of ADCO Neil Harding said that company was well-placed to deliver Victorian schools. “We are proud to be Builder of Choice for VSBA. Our successful completion of Richmond and our recently awarded project South Melbourne PS demonstrates quality in our work. We were chosen for these projects because of our understanding of the client’s brief and our ability to identify and manage key challenges to deliver on time,” he said.
